Min 2-4 Years of SQL Server DBA experience in Production environment
Good in SQL Server RDBMS architecture concepts
Database Administration exposure on various SQL Server versions - 6.5,7,2000Exposure to High availability through Clustering and Replication
Good acquaintance with Security management (OS and Database levels),
DB Design, Performance Tuning, Query Tuning, Backup Recovery (Through native and Third Party tools)
Extensive exposure to Installations /Migration /Cloning / Patching
Exposure to DTS package and scheduling maintenance jobs/Stored Procedures
Exposure to data modeling, capacity planning and estimates
Logical backup and recovery using export/import from one instance to another.
Usage of System catalogs on Query Analyzer, Space management including Filegroups and Managing Transaction log files
User management
SQL network configuration (using Server / Client Network utilities)
Working knowledge of Windows (Windows 2000, Windows 2003)
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be flexible to provide 24×7 support as needed
3-5 years of experience
